Christopher Anzalone, PhD. is the company’s CEO. He is also a member of the company’s board of directors.

R. Bruce Stewart is the founder, director, and Executive Chairman of the Board of Arrowhead Research. A life-long entrepreneur, Mr. Stewart has started and funded over eighteen companies and has taken several of them to the public markets. His capital market experience spans thirty years and he has raised substantial capital for both public and private companies. He is known for his success in building value for shareholders and innovating novel strategies in corporate finance.

Edward W. Frykman has been an Account Executive with Crowell, Weedon & Co. since 1992. Previously, Mr. Frykman served as Senior Vice President of L.H. Friend & Co. Both Crowell, Weedon & Co. and L.H. Friend & Co. are investment brokerage firms located in Southern California. In addition, Mr. Frykman was a Senior Account Executive with Shearson Lehman Hutton where he served as the Manager of the Los Angeles Regional Retail Office of E. F. Hutton & Co.

Dr. Mauro Ferrari serves as a Professor & Director, Center for NanoMedicine, Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine, Chairman, Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Professor of Experimental Therapeutics, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Professor of Bioengineering, Rice University, and President of the Alliance for NanoHealth, Houston TX. Dr. Ferrari received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley. Dr. Ferrari is a founder of biomedical nano/micro-technology in biomedical applications with more than 160 peer-reviewed journal articles, six books, more than 20 issued patents and about thirty more pending in the US and internationally. His career research and development portfolio totals over $50 million. Dr. Ferrari served as Special Expert on Nanotechnology at the National Cancer Institute in 2003-2005, providing leadership into the establishment of the NCI's Alliance for Nanotechnology.

Dr. Douglass Given is a biotechnology industry executive and investor with extensive experience in founding, operating, and financing companies for the successful development and commercialization of innovative technologies. Dr. Given is Chairman and CEO of Vivaldi Biosciences Inc., Chairman of VIA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and an Investment Partner at Bay City Capital LLC.

Dr. Given was formerly CEO and a director of NeoRx Corp., Corporate Sr. Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Mallinckrodt Inc., and CEO and a director of Progenitor Inc. and Mercator Genetics Inc. He held positions as Vice President at Schering Plough Research Institute, Vice President at Monsanto/G.D. Searle Research Laboratories, and Medical Advisor at Lilly Research Laboratories.

Dr. Given's current association with Bay City Capital spans ten years, during which he has taken a leading role in identifying promising technology opportunities and creating value through company formation, development, and strategic transactions. Bay City Capital is a premier life sciences venture capital investment firm representing $1.6 billion in capital invested in over 85 companies. Dr. Given is also Chairman of the Visiting Committee to the Medical Center, Division of Biological Sciences and the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, a member of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Advisory Board, and a member of the International Advisory Council of the Harvard School of Public Health AIDS Initiative. Dr. Given holds an MD with honors and a PhD from the University of Chicago, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He was a fellow in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Charles P. McKenney has maintained a government affairs law practice in Pasadena, California since 1989, representing businesses and organizations in their relations with government regarding their obligations under state and local land use and trade practices laws. From 1973 through 1989, he served as Attorney for Corporate Government Affairs for Sears, Roebuck and Co., helping organize and carry out Sears' Western state and local government relations programs. Mr. McKenney has served two terms on the Pasadena, California City council, on several city boards and committees in Pasadena, including three city Charter Reform Task Forces.

Dr. Michael Perry brings over 25 years of successful biotechnology and pharmaceutical management and research and development experience, as well as healthcare investing expertise to Arrowhead. He has a proven track record in research and development innovation, with emphasis on product development and approval, strategic portfolio management, integration of company mergers and acquisitions, business development, and driving shareholder value. Dr. Perry is currently a Venture Partner at Bay City Capital, a life science focused investment fund that manages seven funds, representing approximately $1.6 billion in capital. He is also President and Chief Medical Officer of Poniard Pharmaceuticals (PARD: NASDAQ).

Dr. Perry has filed over 50 investigational new drug applications, and over 30 new drug applications and biologic license applications, for a number of companies across the globe. His previous roles include Chief Development Officer of VIA Pharmaceuticals and Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Extropy Pharmaceuticals. He was also Chief Executive Officer of Pharsight, SyStemix and Genetic Therapy, serving as a director on each of the companies' boards. Prior to these positions, Dr. Perry was Global Head of Research and Development for Baxter BioScience, Vice President of Novartis Pharma, and Vice President of Syntex Corporation. He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of AmpliPhi Biosciences Corporation (APHB.PK).

Dr. Perry holds an Honors BSc in Engineering/Physics from the University of Guelph, a DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College, and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Pharmacology from the University of Guelph. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and a graduate of the Executive International Management Program at Harvard Business School.
