Overview
Arrowhead is committed to dramatically improving the state of human health. The company is developing treatments for obesity and obesity-related disorders, which the Centers for Disease Control sees as the #1 health threat in the U.S., and developing therapeutics for cancer and liver diseases based on the gene silencing RNA interference mechanism.
Arrowhead seeks to capitalize on its proprietary technology platforms, each capable of generating many therapeutic agents, by developing internal drug candidates and by enabling its partners' development programs through licensing and collaboration. The company is currently focused on its two clinical candidates, CALAA-01 and Adipotide, and its RNAi pipeline products targeting the hepatitis B virus and the HIF-2α gene for solid tumors.
